Halesowen RBL Angling Club are mourning the death of club secretary Roy Smith.
The 74 year old, who passed away following a short illness, had been a stalwart and vital member of the club for many years before assuming the roles of both secretary and acting treasurer.
Fellow club members, match organiser John Billingham and Laurie Mullheron said it would be a difficult task to find a worthy successor. "Roy will be sorely missed, especially on our club matches and at Halesowen RBL AC headquarters, The Whitley Pub and also the Hunnting Tree."
