 Success for Sensas HanKat | The first ever Black Country Teams of Four Canal Champs, on four sections of the Dudley No.1 Canal and Stourbridge Canal, in Dudley, attracted 32 teams from farand wide, organised by Steve Robson. Preston Innovations Black Horse captain Graham Smith found himself amongst the bream on Woodside AA peg 62, to land 50 lb 12 oz 2 dr, netting a new venue record. |
Local team Sensas HanKat won with 19 points, and my team Four Ashes AC finished 18th.
£500 was raised for The Mary Stevens Hospice, in Stourbridge, and a further £3,000 for Bradley Lowery’s Fight, supporting brave five year- old Bradley from County Durham, who has a life-threatening condition.
This will now be an annual fixture. Well done to Steve and everyone who took part. A great day was had all round.
