Anglers in the West Midlands are about to get a permanent outlet for discount fishing tackle with the opening of a special new Dragon Carp Direct clearance centre at Tamworth, in Staffordshire.
This Saturday (March 15) is the official opening of the new outlet at Unit 3 Castle Trading Centre Mariner, Lichfield Road Industrial Estate, which will carry the biggest selection of bargain match and carp tackle, end of line items and clearance stock of anywhere in the country.

Unlike the recent, more glossy Dragon Carp
store openings in shopping malls and out-of-town superstores, this shop will be of the stack-it-high- and-sell-it-cheap variety with no frills, just amazingly low prices.
Top name bait and groundbait will start at £1 a bag, Kamasan hooks from 50p a packet, bite alarms from £3, float rods from £5, carp rods at £8, landing nets at £2, match reels at a fiver, freespool reels at a fiver, and lots of special opening weekend-only deals.
The man behind the new store, Dragon Carp Direct MD Roger Surgay, will be there to help cut the ribbon on Saturday at 9am and do his Man on the Mic auction on both Saturday and Sunday.
He said: ‘I love the West Midlands because my show in Birmingham over the years at Cocks Moors Woods attracted massive attendances. The Birmingham show has always been one of my favourites, and the local people love our gear and our style of tackle and love our prices.
I know people who regularly travel to my Nottingham shop from Tamworth, which is 45 minutes to an hour, so I know that they will love the new Tamworth shop and that having a permanent place offering hugely discounted tackle will go down a storm.”
