Run by the Canal & River Trust with help from local angling clubs, the programme has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2017, with over 15,000 people taking part.
John Ellis, National Fisheries and Angling Manager at the CRT, was delighted to see the programme return after a tough past year.
“The Covid pandemic restricted us last year, but it’s back, bigger and better in 2021,” he said.
“Over the last 12 months, the importance of getting outside and enjoying fresh air has been felt more than ever.
“This year’s programme will be hosting events within walking distance of many local communities where everyone, regardless of background or ability, is welcome. The events are free, and all the necessary equipment is provided.”
