Message from the Evesham Festival Organisers
Well it’s with a heavy heart I must announce for the first time in 42 years there will be NO tented /retail village, bar, food , craft stalls, etc, at the Evesham Angling Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend, it will be a fishing only event with no other attractions taking place, our aim from day one has always been safety for both everyone visiting the stunning Evesham Vale but also for the numerous staff that work the event, our sincere apologies to anyone that was planning to visit the historic event, but safety must come first.
With the government announcements & guidelines over the last few days we unfortunately have no other option, so please respect that our decision hasn’t come lightly & it’s via total close consultation with Wychavon District Council & especially Steve Knight, the events & media manager, who we personally can’t thank enough.
Please stay safe & we have massive plans for 2021, all will be revealed once we have the all clear from this spiteful pandemic.
