Watching Bills videos when talks about taking your children or in my case grandchildren fishing. A great memory from my childhood comes to mind Mr Grabtree I think Bill was in the same league.

Bills videos on YouTube got me back into fishing and it saddens me to see he has passed. Legend of the YouTube fishing and he will forever live on through his informative fishing videos and I’m sure even in his passing will still get many into fishing. RIP legend.

Very sad to hear of Bill passing away. I have just got back into fishing and came across Bill’s YouTube site. Great tips for the classic on the bank angler and silverfish lake angler. I built a wormery as Bill described and it has been very productive. Great loss, a really nice chap.

Having just started watching coarse fishing video on you tube it is with deep sadness to learn of Bill's passing. From the videos I have seen he comes across as a man with a love of fishing and the wildlife associated with it. May he rest in peace and hopefully with a rod in his hand. May I also say his family must be so proud of a great man and mentor to many.

So sad. Just loved his easy approach and relaxed manner. Proves you dont need expensive gear to be able to catch fish. Shame Drennan never offered to let him test their products. i would listen to his advice way before these guys who are paid to review Tackle.
R.I.P. Bill Tight Lines and Thank you for giving me hours of informative advice.

Just took up the sport again, having retired leaving me with some time to play with. I've just watched Bill's spooling video made from a milk carton. Brilliant.. He then mentioned he was ill so I googled him to find the sad news of his passing last year. Truly gutted... RIP Bill.

I took fishing up again 2 years ago after a 30 odd year break and watching Bills videos.
I've learned an awful lot from Bill and have copied as close as I could to what he did.
I've seen about 40 of his videos from choosing the right line to tying hooks, fishing with different baits for different species of fish.
So grateful that I came across Bill and his easy fishing videos.
We're now in Feb 2025 and I've only just seen that he passed away.
He seemed a lovely man with no airs and graces but just a love of fishing.
He may have passed on in 2021 but all the advice he gave will inspire lots of fisherman who have packed up fishing and want to get back into it or help youngsters starting off with their first fishing tips.
He will have been sadly missed by all who followed his videos.
RIP Bill, a true gentleman.
