In previous years, the Dragon Carp Direct winter sale has been held at the Newark Showground, but this year bargain-hunters are invited to the DCD headquarters in Chesterfield, with boss Roger Surgay insisting that means the deals will be greater than ever before.
“This is going to be our biggest ever sale,” confirmed Roger. “We have £1m-worth of tackle that has to go – and that means they’ll some crazy bargains on the day.
“We loved the Newark Showground and had many happy years there. But there are logistical problems and we couldn’t take as much tackle as we wanted. So this year, instead of us visiting Newark, we’re inviting anglers to us – and I guarantee anyone who comes won’t be disappointed.”
As well as the famous ‘Man on the Mic’ auction, they’ll also be a massive Groundbait Mountain, Bivvy Village, Pole Alley and Seatbox Bonanza and with so much tackle to clear, the prices will be rock-bottom.
“This will be the perfect chance to pick up Christmas presents, or to simply make the most of top brand tackle at unbeatable prices. We’ve also got a series of guests to announce to, so it truly will be a day to remember.”
