Over the last few years numerous websites have sprung up offering licenses – but often with admin fees of up to 50% more than the actual cost.
And now the EA is warning gullible anglers to stay clear – and only buy from the Post Office.
“The price of an adult full season trout and coarse rod licence has been frozen at £27.00 and you will not be charged any additional fees by the Post Office,” said a spokesperson for the Agency.
