Description:

The fishery is now 3 pools, one of 7 acres which is made up of 15 purpose built swims. With 4 of these being double swims. All of the swims will be available on a day ticket only basis.

A Runs water of 5 acres with 17 pegs on it, with a few double pegs.

A Pleasure pool of 3/4 of an acre with room for 8 anglers.

The Specimen pool at 7 acres has been netted and has a stocking of around 120 carp, upto 28lb common, with 17 wells catfish to 35lb.

The 5 acre pool in the shallows has been stocked as a runs water, with carp to around 20lb, Pike to 17 1/2lb.

The Pleasure pool has been stocked with Crusians to 3 1/2lb Bream to 5lb roach to over a 1lb. This will be available for pleasure anglers.

January 20th 2009 10 mirrors were stocked from Heather Fisheries. 25th October 2008 a stocking of 50 heather fisheries commons at weights between 8lb and 10lb 12oz were stocked as young stockies.

In February 2008 a Stocking of Furnace mill mirrors was done, 19 of which went into the specimen pool. They were introduced at weights between 6lb and 8lb. During the netting in late 2008 they had 8 of the fish ranging from 10lb 10oz and 13lb 8oz. 12lb 10oz mirror stocked 8 months earlier at between 6lb and 8lb.

13lb mirror stocked from the same batch of furnace mill fish. After netting the specimen pool October and November 2008. We had carp up to 24lb in the net, With the known big fish evading the net. Wells catfish up to 35lb with 2 other 30lb cats.

General rules
  • All anglers to report and book in at the lodge on arrival.
  • All cars to be parked on the main car park.
  • All anglers to have appropiate Environment Agency licences.
  • Alcohol allowed, drunken behavior not.
  • No dogs allowed.
  • No fires allowed.
  • Respect all wildlife.
  • Respect members of the public who are using the bridal paths.
  • No litter to be left on the fishery.
  • Leaders of all types Banned
  • No keepnets to be used for pleasure fishing.
  • All toilets to be used, these are located in the car park.
Lower Lake & Meadow Pool
  • All anglers to be in possesion of a suitable carp unhooking mat.
  • All Anglers to be in possesion of a specimen landing net.
  • Only green or camo bivvies and brollies to be used.
  • No braid main line to be used.
  • 12lb minimum breaking strain main line to be used.
  • Rods not to be left unattended at any time.
  • No fixed rigs to be used (if unsure please ask a member of staff).
  • Only micro barbed or barbed hooks to be used.
  • No bent hook rigs.
  • No lunchoen meat.
  • Bait boats allowed but commonsense must prevail.
  • Maximum of 3 rods to be used.
  • Children under 14 to be accompanied by an adult.
