Description:

Willow marsh fishery is set in the heart of the country side and is renowned as one of the most beautiful fisheries in the country. With 4.5 acres of water over three pretty pools, and parking behind many swims in good weather, this complex is a great place for those who need easy access to top quality sport. The swims are all level slabs, with room for more than 120 anglers. Among the fish available are carp to 33 lb with plenty of single-figure fish, also perch to 5 lb, chub and tench to 3 lb, bream to 2 lb 8 oz, crucians to 2 lb and roach to 1 lb.

Tactics:

Pellet feeder is one of the best methods for putting bags of fish together, with dampened fishery pelletsfor feed. Cast to the islands, or
just off, into 2 ft of water and cast regularly to build a bed to hold mainly carp. 8 mm banded hard pellets will help to target bigger fish. On Dragonfly, fish to the aerators in open water, into 7ft. Pole fishing into open water or the margins for carp and mixed nets. Corn and paste work well once the water warms up,fished at about 6m at first and then in the edge later. Look to fish tight into the features it the margins, where depths will be around 2 ft. Loose feed maggots on the short pole line for lots of roach, and a few tench and skimmers on the deck before shallowing up for better quality roach later.

Good Swims:

Pegs 12 and 13 on the point of Dragonfly Pool
command a lot of water.
