Description:

Wassell Grove Fisheries is probably the most beautiful site in the West Midlands. A 20 acre site, set amidst beautiful green woodland and fields. It is a popular and challenging venue for both pleasure and match fishing.

The Grove consists of three pools, The Specimen Pool, The Match Pool and The Brook Pool. All three lakes are well stocked with Barbel, Roach, Tench, Perch, Bream, Carp and Chub.


The Match Pool and Brook Pool are popular for both pleasure and match fishing.

The specimen lake has produced big Carp

The café on site serves hot and cold food, including a full English breakfast and also a selection of sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, chocolate, crisps etc.

It is open all day from 7.30am but stops cooking at 1:00pm and there are toilets on site.

* 2 acres, large island plus small island, margin rushes, depth 8ft to dam wall, rising to 5.5ft behind island

* Bait preference is boilies, corn, meat, loose feed pellets (to be bought on site)
* When fishing for specimens, unhooking mats must be used.

​Fishing Hut (Top Lake)
Situated at the water's edge, between pegs 3 and 4 on the Top Lake. Sleeps up to 2 people (bunks). Mattresses provided but you will need to bring your own linen and pillows. A deposit will be required at the time of booking which is refundable upon departure but following our inspection of the hut. If any litter, whatsoever, is found discarded,or, any damage caused, or, if the hut is left in an untidy state then we reserve the right to refuse a refund of the deposit either in part or in full. Noise or rowdiness will not be tolerated and could lead to an immediate ban . No smoking allowed in the hut. All other site and fishing rules apply.

The hut hire rates do not include fishing hence usual fishing prices also apply .
Please remember the risks involved with Carbon Monoxide poisoning if using fossil fuel heaters/cookers - adequate ventilation must be maintained at all times.

Rules:

  • Day tickets must be purchased from cafe before fishing commences
  • Maximum of 2 rods
  • No rods are to be left unattended
  • No ground bait cat/dog meat or hemp to be used
  • Feeder pellets must be brought on site
  • No method feeders or mix
  • Strictly barbless hooks only

  • No keepnets (matches only)
  • No floating baits
  • Unhooking mats must be used
  • No bait to be thrown on the banks at the end of session
  • All litter including cigarette ends to be cleared and disposed in bins provided
  • No dogs or dog walking
  • No shouting/swearing across the pools

How to get there....

Coming off the M5, take Junction 3 and follow the A456 Kidderminster Road. At the fourth roundabout, Wassell Grove is sign-posted. Follow Wasselll Grove Lane past the Rugby Club and keep going through a small hamlet until you see our fishery sign on the right. Follow the drive to the car park at the bottom.
