Sion Farm Fishery
Description:
Sion Farm Fishery is a Stillwater fishery located in Worcestershire. Most noted for Carp/Specimen, Coarse and Match fishing, Carp, Roach and Perch are amongst the key species on offer at the venue.
The owners have taken steps to facilitate disabled access. The site features on-site toilets.
There are two lakes on site but the Main Lake by the entrance is the hotspot for the redfins in winter where anglers are recording silverfish nets to over 25lb made up of roach to 2lb along with the odd bream. As with most commercial roach fishing tactically it is best to keep it simple. If youre pole or waggler fishing, feed two lines, one at around 6m with loose-fed caster and one further out with micro pellets. Start on the near line with a light strung out rig set at dead depth and with a caster on the hook and keep the feed going in. Every so often try the pellet line with a 4mm expander as bream to 4lb will often pay your swim a visit and these can really boost your weight but don’t forget to keep feeding your near line. If the fish go off, try adding another section on and fishing slightly further out. If you really want to catch quickly a whip is a good option and is a fun way of sacking up with Sion’s roach.
