NORTH STRATFORD CANAL

The North Stratford Canal begins at Kings Norton Junction on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal where it continues to Lapworth Junction where it meets the Grand Union Canal and then continues to as the South Stratford Canal to Stratford Upon Avon. The canal leaves the Worcester and Birmingham where it travels east through Yardley Wood and around to Shirley, passing the Drawbridge Pub and Drawbridge (Pictured above). The canal continues south through Dickens Heath and then Hockley Heath before travelling down a flight of locks at Lapworth and onto Lapworth Junction.
