Leasowes Park

Picture
Leasowes Lane, off Mucklow Hill,
Halesowen
West Midlands
B62 8DH

Tel: 01384 814642

Description:

This is a large lake set in a historic landscape park with good sport for anglers and some smaller fish for pleasure anglers. There's good access from the car park to the six platformed swims.

There is a good head of carp to 20lb with plenty of upper doubles. Also perch and tench to 3lb and roach to 1lb.

Tactics:

Leger hair-rigged boilies or a large pellet for the carp; floating baits are always worth a try, especially during the evening. Another ploy is to feed a bit of corn down the edge or close to any feature like a lily pad bed and try a grain or two on the hook. Bream tend to get caught on carp intended baits but soft pellet should produce some as well.

Good Swims:

Those with the lily bed features and deeper margins.
