Tactics:
Most lakes are between 4ft and 9ft deep with deeper holes and shallower bars and island margins. Every pool has a range of features to fish to. Pole fishing is the top method with lines at 8-12 metres early in the day and margin lines better late. Shallow waggler is a good method with pellets the main bait and corn a useful back-up. Maggots can be useful in cooler weather, especially for bonus perch and a few big roach. |
