Fens Pool and Buck Pool
Description:
Nestling in a dip between Pensnett and Brierley Hill, the land which was once part of the Round Oak steelworks site has blossomed into a very interesting place. Now transformed, it is a wonderful oasis amidst what remains of the industrial past.
Named the “Buckpool and Fens pool Nature Reserve”, it consists of 3 pools – Fens, Middle and Grove. All 3 pools contain fish. That is in no doubt, it would appear that fish of considerable size lurk within the water’s.
The three large pools and adjoining canal have excellent fish stocks, including some very large pike and carp.
