DUDLEY NO.2 CANAL POWKE LANE - STATION ROAD
Description:
The Dudley No.2 canal between Powke Lane and Station Road is a very under-rated stretch with far bank features that include overhanging trees, reed beds and dense undergrowth. This stretch is controlled by the Waterway Wanderers has all the necessary requirements to produce a good day’s canal fishing. Roach to 2 lb, perch to 4 lb, bream to 5 lb, tench, skimmers, chub and large carp all reside here. |
Tactics:
For roach, skimmers and perch, try pole or use a light waggler with single maggot, caster, pinkie or bread punch over a little light cloud feed.
Bream to pole fished chopped worm and caster; catch one and others will follow.
Chub can oblige to pole or float fished maggot or caster fished to far bank features.
There is plenty of bankside cover on this section.
Good Swims:
Opposite side of towpath over Totnal foot bridge and there are some space's by the reeds.
