Description:
These two delightful, natural, privately owned pools, set besides the River Severn are accessed via Telford Way in Shrewsbury.
They are a pleasure to fish with a variety of species including carp to 28 lb, bream to 11 lb, tench topping 5 lb, perch to 3 lb, lots of chub to 3 lb, plus the occasional barbel, dace and bleak.

Tactics:
Try for the larger carp to legered hair-rigged large pellet, luncheon meat or corn. Mixed catches to float fished soft pellet, caster, maggot or chopped worm- the latter two baits can be exceptional at times. Fish over regular loose feed, not a large bed of feed. Good Swims: There are plenty of features including small islands to fish to. |

From the Whitchurch Direction:- A49 Battlefield Island (Two Henry’s/ Spar on left) 2nd A49 Sundorne Island take 3rd exit onto B5062 Sundorne Rd. Heathgates Island take 1st Exit A5112 Turn left after Pedestrian Crossing (Careful this is a concealed entrance) then immediate right after gate parking is alongside the barn be careful of cyclists and pedestrians. From the Shawbury Direction:- A53 Battlefield Island (Two Henry’s/ Spar on right) 1st exit A49 Sundorne Island take 3rd exit onto B5062 Sundorne Rd.
