Tactics:
There are very few rules here but it is advisable to read the novice before fishing if it's your first visit. Carp to legered hair-rigged bollie or pellet- there is a no feeding boilies whatsoever rule- corn and luncheon meat are good carp baits too. Any bait will score on Pool 1. Float fish pellet, meat, corn, worm, bread, maggot, caster or paste- they all have their day. A small ledger is well worth a try in winter. Good Swims: All the pools have attractive islands to fish to. |

How to get there....
From Stafford (J13 or 14, M6) take the A34 from Stafford town centre to Cannock. At the top of Radford Bank you want the A513 Milford/Rugeley Road. Pass Milford Common on your right, continue on and at the roundabout turn left onto the A51 towards Stone. Go over the River Trent then the canal and turn right into Bishton Lane. Keep on here, going over the slightly staggered crossroads and you eventually come to a rail bridge. Go over this and turn immediately right, then follow the blue signs to the fishery |
