Tactics:
Many visitors fish the pole or waggler, with 4 mm soft pellet over regular micro pellet feed the best option. As the water warms, swap to banded 6 mm hard pellets for a better stamp offish. Casters also score very well on both Millie and Kingfisher for mixed nets, including some better fish. Fish a light on-the-drop rig to pick fish off all through the water. Depths around 4ft are best for regular sport. Usually within 5 m of the bank, but look for more like 6-8ft during cold weather. Kingfisher for barbell and chub around the island at 16 m, or cast a |

method feeder packed with dampened micros with meat or corn on the hook, to pick off a carp. Punch is currently working for silver fish, including a few crucians fishing into 6ft of water at 5 mm on Canal. Try half a worm over a cup of chopped worm and casters for a big perch.
