Controlled and owned by the Canal and River Trust this disabled-friendly pool is variable in depths from as little as 18 inches to as deep as 11 feet and is home to carp to 15lb, pike to 14lb, tench to 4lb, perch, roach and skimmers. The venue contains various species including carp into high double-figures, silver fish and some winter pike.

Tactics: Float fishing tends to score well at this easily accessible fishery where the carp tend to hover about at various depths. Bits of luncheon meat, small boilies or various kinds and sizes of pellets all produce carp at different times.
Smaller baits like maggot or caster can also catch carp. It can also well be worth trying a straight ledger rig with a couple of grains of sweetcorn or even a paste mix. Good Swims: A simple rule of thumb is to fish the shallow swims in summer and the deeper ones in the colder weather. Even if it goes colder the deeper water pegs can produce some useful sized carp. |

How to get there....
From Bloxwich take the A4124 towards Wednesfield. Just before you go under the M6 bridge turn left into Sneyd Lane. There is ample parking, adjacent to the pool. |
