With 11 lakes over a huge site in glorious Staffordshire countryside,Baden Hall offers quality sport for match, pleasure and specimen anglers. Three lakes are dedicated to big carp, with fish to 47lb-plus and room for 38 anglers in more than 30 acres of water, also pike in Quarry Pool to 30 lb. bream to 18lb, tench to 7lb. Match and pleasure rods can target carp to 30 lb. with plenty of doubles in Middle Pool, more typically 2lb to 8lb, bream and barbel to 12 lb. tench to 4lb, roach, chub and perch to 3lb, crucian carp to lib 8 oz. plus gudgeon in venues from canal pools to open-water lakes and a choice of well over 200 pegs.

Tactics:

Chod rigs or stiff hinged rigs with popped-up boilies for biggest carp in water to 10ft deep. As weather cools try beds of particles over clear spots on gravel bars between weed and zig rigs on warmer days.
Pleasure and match lakes fish well to feeder tactics on top of the sunken islands, or pole  and waggler into deeper channels.
Cubes of meat at 8 m into 9ft  f water for mixed nets on Old Match Pool, or a feeder to the island. Pole fish Canal Pool at 14m with meat or corn into 3ft of water for carp and silvers. Target Dam Pool if you like stalking bigger carp.

Specimen lakes are priced Bridge and Glovers £30 for 24 hours. Quarry £35 for 24 hours. all run from 12pm until 12pm details of longer stays on the website.

Barb less hooks only. No nuts. high oil pellets or artificial baits. Branded frozen boilies only.

​Keep nets only on match lakes. Unhooking mats must be used. Food on-site at weekends and bank holidays.

How to get there....

Leave the M6 at J15 and head towards Eccleshall on the A519. Continue through Slindon and after 1.5 miles. Turn left towards HMP Drake Hall. The fishery entrance is on the right and side, after 1.5 miles. And shortly after HMP Drake Hall.
