Due to problems with a certain group of anglers throwing objects at people using the centre and police being called on numerous occasions Dudley Council who own the water have took the decision to banned all fishing and are in the process of installing 'No Fishing' signs.

It's a shame that this has had to happen due to some who call themselves "anglers". I bet those reponsable have never even had a fishing licence. I remember fishing the reservoir years ago with my grandad; great memories.

I go open water swimming every monday at the reservoir and there are still loads of people fishing and swimming. They leave rubbish all around the reservoir

They may be talking about the minority of fishers but the majority like myself and friends who not only live here and have fished here all our lives do so rightly and also own licenses. The people in the boat house "club" who are not local and do not contribute to the local community, only themselves, should be ashamed.hounest people, local people, who fish there do so peacefully, and in my own experience have only clashed with the 'club' beit when they have instigated abuse towards us. They represent nothing and no one in this community, and in my opinion should be made rid of n find somewhere else to sort them selves.not a public reservoir which has been free and good to all,all until these no good want it all, scheming, lying, two faced scum came along.the yatch clubs and divers are fine.but those lot with their speed boats n part time skiers who haven't a clue how to do either, need to jog on.its them thats the problem not the people fishing.

Very disappointing,Surely if you show your licence & pay £5 for the day ,that would filter out the scumbags
